The University is dedicated to encourage inter-disciplinary higher education and research to spread knowledge to every strata of the society. It aims at creating an ground-breaking, value-based, and research-oriented world-class learning surroundings and establishing itself as a centre of excellence. The various scholarships available with Maharishi Dayanand University are as follows: 1. UNIVERSITY MERIT SCHOLARSHIP Under this scheme scholarships are provided on the basis of marks or grades achieved in the various courses pursued. For example: On the basis of the outcome of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. Part-I (Pass Course) One Scholarship for every 1000 applicants or a part thereof in each cluster i.e. Humanities, Science and Commerce for doing B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. II (pass) subject to a minimum of one scholarship in each group. 2. P.G.STIPENDS (ONE IN EACH DEPARTMENT) Under this scheme students will receive a stipend amount for pursuing the post graduate programs on the basis of the results of the graduate degree. Other Scholarships available are: GENERAL STIPENDS(ONE IN EACH DEPARTMENT) LION-JOSEPH SCH.(ONLY ONE SCHOLARSHIP IN THE UNIVERSITY HARYANA STATE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP DR. SILAK RAM PHOGAT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP DR. P.P.SINGH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP L.P.S. SCHOLARSHIP & L.P.S. BOSSARD SCHOLARSHIP SH.
