SBI NRI account opening

Hello sir I am living in London as NRI but I want to open the account in SBI in India as NRI so please provide me how to open account there.

SBI facilitate opening of NRI accounts in India at any State Bank of India branch of your choice.

You need to fill up the account opening form which will forward along with other documents to the Branch in India where you want to open the account.

NRI / NRO account opening procedure

NRE / NRO savings bank account can be opened as per any of the following mode:

1. Through online mode: You can fill application online and send it to concerned SBI LCPC in India as per the steps mentioned therein.

2. By visiting SBI Foreign Office or associated Exchange House: you can download the account opening application, fill it manually and submit it to our nearby office in your current country of residence.

3. By sending it to SBI Branch in India: Download the account opening application, fill it manually and post / courier it to your preferred home branch in India, along with the attested copies of proofs & documents selected for KYC in the application.

4. By visiting a SBI Branch in India in person: Fill and submit application along with proofs & documents selected for KYC in the application by visiting a SBI branch in India.

Please ensure to carry originals of the documents / proofs for cross-verification by the branch official.

• Initial money remittance
