SASTRA University, has been accredited with an 'A' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2001, under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, by the Government of India.
University offers various courses under different departments.

SASTRA University does not conduct any separate exam for entrance in engineering courses.
Admission to engineering is done on the basis of 2 categories:

Eligibility
You must pass 10+2 examination from any recognized board with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects with either Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Candidate having diploma in Engineering / Technology are eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Tech., Programme.


Admission Procedure

Admissions to the I year B.Tech., Programme will be done on the basis of marks obtained in 10 +2 qualifying examination.

Candidates from different Authorities / Boards will normalized in the same scale. A first rank student of each board will be considered to have obtained 100% mark and other students of the board are normalized with reference to that of the first rank student.
