Salary of BSNL JTO

I am doing preparation for the JTO Exam of BSNL. The written Exam will hold in next week. Now please provide me important tricks to crack this Written Exam in one go. Tell me about the salary structure of JTO in BSNL. There is no information about salary in the prospectus of JTO Examination, so I asked.

A new recruits Junior Telecom Officer JTO post in Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Basic pay is fixed on E1 (16400-40500) pay scale and initial basic pay will be 16400.

Apart from this, there is a Dearness allowances component which is added to salary.
Current D.A rate is 126.90% which is revised on a quarterly basis.

House Rent Allowances-

Government employees are paid 10% or 20% or 30% of Basic Pay towards HRA benefits.

For a new recruit, JTO HRA amount will be like this

16400 X 10% = Rs 1640/-
16400 X 20% = Rs 3280/-
16400 X 30% = Rs 4920/-

The Department of Public Enterprises has already issued 3rd Pay revision order for the Public Sector Employees. So after implementation of 3rd PRC, BSNL JTO Salary may increase 10 to 15% from 01.01.2017.

Employee Provident Fund for BSNL JTO-

As per Government Rules, every employee has to have an EPF account number. This account is opened by your employer.

The contribution towards the EPF is made by Employee & employer both. As per current rules, 12% of Basic Pay plus DA (here it is EPF 4465) from the employees salary & same amount is paid by the employer.

Hence total Rs 8930 will be deposited every month into your EPF account.
