The Sophisticated Instruments Facility (SIF) was established in 1977 by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India

Sophisticated Instruments Facility came under the purview of Regional Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre(RSIC) programme in April 1982 and was called the "Sophisticated Instruments Facility".

Facilities Available:

AV400 - Bruker 400 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer.

ECX400 - Jeol 400 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer for solids.

AV500 - Bruker 500 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer.

ECX500 - Jeol 500 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer.

AV500S - Bruker 500 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer for solids.

AV700 - Bruker 700 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer with cryo probe.

AV800 - Bruker 800 MHz High Resolution Multinuclear FT-NMR Spectrometer with cryo probe.
