Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education.

Objective of program

The objective of this program is to provide European student mobility by promoting the development of a single European higher education context.

RTU and Erasmus Mundus

Riga Technical University participates in the program since 1998, and "Erasmus" has already taken advantage of the opportunities offered by more than 1,000 students in RTU.

The program is open to all lines of study and higher education levels, including doctoral studies.

"Erasmus +" study and practice taking place in accordance with the Erasmus Student Charter.

Scholarship competition and the students' selection procedure determined by RTU "Erasmus" mobility procedures for the organization.

Requirements for Applicants

Exchange visits at the time the student must have completed the following parameters.

A bachelor level 1 course,

Need to have good success in previous studies (weighted average grade not lower than 6.0),

Good English,

German or any other EU country language proficiency, as well as an explicit objective for the entire study period abroad

Students who intend to develop a foreign university bachelor's or master's thesis, before logon "Erasmus +" scholarship contest is coordinated their plans with some of the university professors.

This provision shall also apply to doctoral-level students.
