RTO exam Maharashtra after B.E Mechanical Engineering

I have done B.E in Mechanical Engineering can I appear for RTO exam which is held in Maharashtra?

Here I am providing the information regarding the Maharashtra RTO Inspector exam for your idea .


RTO entrance exam is conducted by the public service commission of the states. RTO job posts are divided into three category .

Applicants can apply for Assistant Engineer Post after completion of B.E in Mechanical Engineering .

Eligibility Criteria—Applicants must possess Mechanical Engineering/Diploma in Automobile from a recognized university/institution.

Age: Job hunters must be in between 18 years to 35 years of age

Salary Structure: Applicants will be given pay scale of Rs 14800 – 34000/-.

Maharashtra RTO Mechanical Engineering exam syllabus

Section A : Mechanical and Automobile Engineering – (120) Questions

1. Strength of Materials : (15)
Stress and strain, strain energy, shearing force and bending moment, moment
of inertia, Principal planes and stresses, slope and deflection. Direct and
bending stresses, Columns, Torsion and thin cylinders.

2. Mechanical Technology : (20)
Engineering materials, Non chip forming processes, chip Forming process :
Turning, Drilling, Milling, Boring, Broaching, Finishing and super finishing,
Gear production as well as NC-CNC and non conventional machining methods.

3. Theory of Machines : (20)
Kinematics and dynamics of machines, role of friction, different power
devices and power transmission equipments such as governers, gyroscopes
etc., Applications of cams.

4. Hydraulics : (20)
Fluids and their properties, Laminar and turbulent flow, Bernaulli’s
Equation, Fluid pressure, Pascal’s Law, Surface tention, fluid flow and its
measurement.

5. Thermal Engineering : (20)
Sources of energy : Conventional and non conventional, Laws of
thermodynamics, Principle and working of heat engines, air compressors.
Air Standard, vapour power and Gas power cycles.

6. A. Automobile Engines : (15)
Theory, working and constructional features of C.I. and S.I. engines,
Combustion phenomena and various ignition systems, Fuels and
Lubricants, Performance and Testing of I.C. Engines, Pollution control.

B. Industrial Electronics : (10)
Diods, UJT, BJT, amplifiers, microprocessors.

Section B: Mechanical Engineering - (30) Questions

1. Hydraulic Machinary : (10)
Imapact of jet, Hydraulic turbines, Hydraulic pumps : Centrifugal,
reciptrocating and other types. Hydraulic control circuits.

2. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning : (10)
Refrigerator and heat pump, Vapour compression and vapour absorption
refrigeration systems, Refrigerants, Psychrometry, Air conditioning and
its applications.

3. Industrial Engineering : (10)
Types of production, plant layouts, process planning, work study,
statistical quality control, Metrology.

Section C : Automobile Engineering – (30) Questions

1. Automobile Systems : (10)
Vehicle layout, Transmission system, breaking systems, ABS, Steering
and suspension system, Chasis Frame and Body engineering.

2. Vehicle Maintenance : (10)
Performance of vehicles, engine electricals and electronics, workshop
layout, repairing and servicing, Emission measurements and control
techniques.

3. Transport Management : (10)
Elements of transport and its operations, Motor Vehicle Act, Taxation,
Insurance.

RTO stands for Regional Transport Officer Exam. It is conducted by Public Service Commission.

In Maharashtra generally the exam is conducted in the month of March.

There are many posts available in RTO
Clerk post
Judicial post
Sub assistant

Eligibility Criteria:


RTO exam clerk post eligibility
Should be citizen of India
Must have graduation degree from recognized University
Age should be between 18 to 37 years

RTO exam Judicial post eligibility
Should be citizen of India
Graduation degree in law from recognized university
Age should be between 23-35 years.

RTO exam sub assistant eligibility
Should be citizen of India
Graduation degree in particular fields such as mechanical and civil from recognized university
Age should be more than 34 years

You have done B.E in Mechanical Engineering so you are eligible for clerk post and sub assistant post in RTO exam.

Yes, off course, you can apply for Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Assistant Motor Inspector Exam after completing B.E Mechanical Engineering conducted by MPSC (Maharashtra Public Service Commission).


Eligibility for MPSC RTO Assistant Motor Inspector Exam


Nationality –

Indian


Age Limit –
19 – 38 years.
5 year relaxation for other backward category candidates


Educational Qualification –
1. Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering from government recognized Institute.
2. One having bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering can also apply.
3. Production engineering, fabrication engineering, metallurgy engineering, industrial engineering candidates can also apply now.
4. Final year candidates can also apply but they should complete degrees before mains exam.
5. Knowledge of Marathi.


Experience –
1. One year experience in maintenance and repair of heavy and light vehicles
2. One doesn’t have experience one should take 1 year experience after selection.


License –
One should have license for light and heavy vehicle before mains exam.
Height – 163 cm
Chest – 79 cm.


Conditions after Selection –
5 year service bond
One should be ready to work anywhere in Maharashtra.
