Re: RTGS Citibank

RTGS stands for Real Time Gross Settlement, which can be defined as the continuous (real-time) settlement of funds transfers individually on an order by order basis (without netting).
Real Time means the processing of instructions at the time they are received rather than at some later time.

This system is primarily meant for large value transactions. The minimum amount to be remitted through RTGS is 2 lakh. There is no upper ceiling for RTGS transactions.

This service window for customer's transactions is available from 9.00 hours to 16.30 hours on week days and from 9.00 hours to 13.30 hours on Saturdays for settlement at the RBI end.

Processing Charges / Service Charges for RTGS transactions:
a) Inward transactions – Free, no charge to be levied.

b) Outward transactions – Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh - not exceeding Rs. 30 per transaction. Above Rs. 5 lakh - not exceeding Rs. 55 per transaction.

Rest of the information here I am attaching pdf file which is free for download……

'RTGS' stands for Real Time Gross Settlement, which can be defined as the continuous settlement of funds transfers individually on an order by order basis 'Real Time' means the processing of instructions at the time they are received rather than at some later time.

The minimum amount for an RTGS funds transfer in Rs2,00,000.

RTGS recommended when you want to transfer funds of higher value with minimum delay

Saturdays: Same day processing till 11:30 am
Sundays & Bank holidays: Processing on next working day
Fund transfer Channel: Fund transfer can be initiated from
Citibank Online
Citibank Branches

RTGS transferring process:

If you want to know the transferring process of RTGS here I’m giving you some steps according to Citibank:
If you are making a fund transfer for the first time, you will be required to register the beneficiary/payee.
Login to Citibank Online
Provide details of the destination account number, city and the amount to transfer. For NEFT / RTGS transfers provide details of the beneficiary bank, branch and location or alternatively provide the IFSC code, to identify the destination branch
Citibank will send you a one-time use six digit OAC (Online Authorisation Code) to the mobile number as updated on your account that is created when you register your self with Citibank.
Use this OAC to authorise your payee registration and complete the transaction
For transfers within Citibank you can also register a Standing instruction for making the transfers at regular intervals automatically. Also set up a Standing instruction if you would want this payment to be executed automatically at regular intervals.
