Railway Recruitment Board Ajmer was established in 1983. It functions under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India.

It is primarily responsible for recruiting the working and supervisory staff (Group 'C') required for Ajmer, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner Divisions of North-Western Railway and Kota Division of West-Central Railway.
