Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before 1964 These are relevant and play an essential part in today's higher education. The most significant rewards are in the young students potential development , their academic and personal potential. Within the HBCU framework, the graduate , undergraduate , and professional students have distinct missions and legacies, and vary in size, financial stability and operational effectiveness.
