What is the relation of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and EDCIL ? What are the objectives of RMSA?

Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) was contemplated by Ministry of Human Resource Development to achieve Universalisation of Secondary Education.

Technical Support Group (TSG), EdCIL is entrusted to give support to implement the scheme.

Objectives of the scheme:

Improve quality of education imparted at secondary level .

Remove gender, socio-economic and disability barriers.

Universal access to secondary level education by 2017.

Universal retention by 2020.

EdCIL has established a TSG to facilitate in achievement of objectives of the scheme.
