The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is an autonomous public engineering and research institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is recognised as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. The Institute was established in 1959. DAAD RISE Program- Research Internships in Science and Engineering (RISE) worldwide Under this programme scheme, Indian research groups, laboratories, professors, postdoctoral and PhD students employed by or affiliated with an accredited academic institution or a non-profit research institution, working in the field of Science and Engineering can apply to host or invite a motivated and well-qualified undergraduate student from Germany as a research intern in their research projects in India. In India: Research groups, laboratories, professors, postdoctoral and PhD students employed by or affiliated with an accredited academic institution or a non-profit research institution in India. In Germany: Undergraduate students from the field of Science and Engineering.
