The MBBS course is offered at KMC, Manipal and KMC, Mangalore. Its duration is four and a half years plus one year of compulsory rotating internship course.

This is recognised by the General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council. The course conducts theory classes and clinical training according to MCI guidelines.


MBBS Qualification

Indian Boards
Pass in 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English individually from a recognized Board, with minimum 50 % marks taken together In Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology


A level
• Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the ‘A’ Levels and English in the ‘AS’ Level
• Minimum requirement is a ‘D’ grade individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology


IB
• English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
• IB Diploma or IB Certificate with minimum 4 points in each subject and overall minimum of 24 points
• Minimum two Science subjects in HL
• Third Science subject and English can be at HL or SL
