Re: Reservation in IIMs for OBC
As you wants to get Admission reservation for the OBC Students in IIMS let me tell you that the Admission into the IIMS are based on the CAT Examination . the provision of reservation to the OBC candidates as per my knowledge are There is 27% quota reservation for OBC candidates in all IIMs. Also, the reserved seats had not been given from the previous total available seats for GEN and OBC candidates before the implementation of reservation. The total seats have been increased and thus about 40% of increase has been took placed in the no. of seats As you wants to take Admission into the IIMS here I am giving you the details of the CAT Examination that are as follow : Eligibility criteria : The candidate must be a graduate with 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/DA/PWD) or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the ministry of HRD, Government of India. Paper pattern : Section No. of Questions Duration 1Quantitative Ability 34 3 hrs Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension 34 Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning 32 Total 100 Significant changes in CAT: CAT will have a new section called Data Interpretation and Logical reasoning (DILR). QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions. No switching to other sections while answering questions in one. Section will shift to next one after candidate spends 60 minutes on it. Candidates can select four test cities in order of preference. Allotment of sessions will be random. Test duration has also been increased from 170 minutes to 180 minutes. Written answers will be introduced along with multiple-choice questions (MCQ) |
