Requirements for TOEFL

Can you tell me about the requirement to register for a TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language Test) iBT test through ETS?

The TOEFL or Test of English as a Foreign Language test is designed as a tool to measure a person's – who's first language isn't English – ability to effectively communicate in English, to see how fluent one is. It's a way for universities, colleges and companies to judge if a person is qualified to be one of their students/workers.

Requirements for TOEFL[/B]

When register for a TOEFL iBT® test, one is required to provide identification (ID) information.

[B]General ID Document Requirements[/B]
With few exceptions, ID documents must meet all of the following requirements. Each ID document must:
 be an original document; photocopied documents are not acceptable
 be valid; expired documents are not acceptable
 include full name exactly matching the name on the ID document used to register, excluding accents or diacritical marks
 include a recent, recognizable photograph
 include signature

[B]Unacceptable ID Documents[/B]
The following documents are not acceptable as primary or Supplemental ID under any circumstances:
 Any document that is photocopied or expired
 Any document that does not exactly match the name you used when you registered
 International driver's license
 Draft classification card
 International student ID
 Credit/debit card of any kind
 Notary-prepared letter or document
 Birth certificate
 Social security card
 Employee ID card
 Any temporary ID card
 Diplomatic, consulate or embassy ID card
