Can you please tell me the eligibility, age limit and the other requirements to apply for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test UGC NET exam? Also tell me the documents required to apply for UGC NET exam?

The Central Board of Secondary Education is conducts National Eligibility Test. The UGC NET is conducted twice a year in order to select candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. UGC NET will be conducted once a year. Requirements of National Eligibility Test: Education: Candidates must have a minimum of 55% marks in their Master's Degree or equivalent in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Application, Electronic Science etc. from a university/institution recognized by UGC. Applicants belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD category must have secured at least 50% marks in Master's degree. Important dates: DATE OF UGC NET July 2018 NOTIFICATION 1st February, 2018 Online Application Form Submission 05th March, 2018 Last Date for Applying Online 12th April, 2018 Last Date of Submission of Fee through Online Generated Bank Challan, at any branch of (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI/HDFC Bank) 13th April, 2018 Correction in Particulars of application form on the website 25th April 2018 to 01st May 2018 Date of UGC NET 2018 Examination 08th July, 2018 (Sunday) UGC NET qualification is divided into the following steps: Obtain minimum qualifying marks with aggregate 55% marks to General and 50% to others in master's degree. The paper will be divided in two papers - Paper 1 & 2. The students would have to attempt total 150 questions in 3 Hours. Those who score more than the cutoff marks in the exam would be declared qualified for JRF. On the other hand, Top 6% candidates will be selected for each subject and category eligibility for Assistant Professor only if they haven't applied for JRF. |
