No percentage of marks criteria required for the applicants in Graduation for the IAS entrance exam .

The IAS exam is Organized By by the Union Public Service Commission every year.

Eligibility Criteria:
Students must have any graduate degree from any recognized University.
Candidate who are in the final year are also eligible.
Candidate’s age should be between 21 and 30 years.

Exam Pattern
IAS Exams are taken in three following phases.
Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Mains exam
Personality test

Important Dates:
Date of Notification: 31 May 2014
Last Date to Apply: 30 June 2014
Date of IAS PRE (CSAT) Exam: 24 AUGUST 2014

IAS exam is held by UPSC through Civil Service Exam and if one want to go for IAS exam, then they must attend in CSAT Exam.

The details of the eligibility for appearing for the Indian Administrative Services Examination are as follows:

A graduate degree from any recognized university in any discipline. There is no requirement of any kind of Percentage marks for IAS Exam.

The age of the aspirant should be in between 21 to 30 years old. Age relaxation is offered to SC/ST/OBC category as per government rules.

The maximum attempts for SC/ST aspirant is Unlimited. For OBC aspirant it is 7 years and for general aspirant it will be 5.

Also aspirant must be in citizen in India.

The IAS selection process is comprises of three stages

1) Preliminary exam(This Exam is based on Objective type Question Paper)
2) Main exam (This Exam is subjective type)
3) Interview.

IAS Preliminary examination pattern is given below:

(Paper 1) (200 marks)

• Current events.
• History
• Geography
• Indian Polity and governance
• Economic and social development
• and General science
(Paper II) (200 marks)
• Comprehension
• Logical reasoning and analytical ability
• Decision making and problem solving
• General mental ability
• Basic numeracy(Class X level)
• English language comprehension skills (Class X level)
The Optional Subject for IAS Exam are-
