Relative Grading In IIT BHU
Hi I am a new student in the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU and need to know about the Relative Grading so can you please provide me some info??

Well the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi is a public engineering institution located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. After completing every semester/summer term, disciple is awarded a letter grade in each of his/her courses by the concerned course convener taking into account his/her level of learning It is based on performance in the various examinations, quizzes, assignments/term paper, laboratory/project work (if any), etc. as per the weightage declared at the beginning of the course. Relative Grading The Grades and Grade Points/Scores will also remain unchanged. i.e. Grades S, A, B, C, D, E (Pass) and F (Fail) Grades with Scores 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 0 respectively will remain unchanged. The relative grading system shall be followed. These students will be awarded their Degree with Class as per the earlier rules. The grading should reflect the level of learning by the student, for such a purpose a relative grading system will be used. Academic Performance Grade Score or Grade Point Outstanding S 10 Excellent A 09 Very Good B 08 Good C 07 Fair D 06 Satisfactory E 05 Failed F 00 Incomplete I 00 On the basis of the DGPA, the result of each student shall be declared as follows: DGPA Result 7.50 and above. Passed in First Class with Honours 6.50 and above but less than 7.50 Passed in First Class. 5.00 and above but less than 6.50 Passed in Second Class Below 5.00 Failed.
