Hey as Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, or in short Ambedkar University. Delhi was established by the Government of the NCT of Delhi through an Act of the Delhi Legislature. The University began functioning in August 2008. Qualification: Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale (5% relaxation in qualifying marks at Master’s Level i.e. from 55% to 50% of marks, shall be given to candidates belonging to SC/ST or those who are physically disabled and those who are already in the University system) Experience: At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Grade Pay of Rs.7000/- or above, including 8 years of experience as Associate Professor in the Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000/- or above, along with experience in educational administration. OR Comparable experience in Research Establishments and other institutions of Higher Education. OR 15 years of administrative experience out of which 8 years should be as Deputy Registrar or on an equivalent post in a University or Government Organization Duties of Registrar All Statutory functions in the Act, Statutes and Ordinances To Act as Secretary to the Court, Board of Management and Academic Council. Legal representation of the University. Governance: Secretarial functions of Court, Board of Management, Academic Council and Establishment Committee. Custodian of the records, the common seal and such other properties of the University. To enter into, and sign, agreements and authenticate records on behalf of the University. All aspects of University management. The Registrar shall perform such other functions as may be specified in the Statutes, Ordinances or Regulations or as may be required from time to time by the Board of Management or the Vice Chancellor.
