The Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar is also known as NIT Jalandhar (NITJ). It is a public engineering institute which is located in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.

It was established in 1987.

The Institute was founded as a joint venture between the governments of Punjab and India and originally under the name Punjab Regional Engineering College, Jalandhar (PREC).
