The RBI conducts a written exam for the Young Scholar Scheme Awards and in this year the exam has already been conducted on January 29, 2012 at various centres across India.

Stipend: Stipend of Rs. 7500/- per month during the duration of the project.


Eligibility criteria: students from all over India can apply for this exam but for that candidates must have completed 12th class or its equivalent from recognized boards in 2011 or before. Candidates who have enrolled for or studying in higher than graduation degree are not eligible for this exam and the candidates who have qualified and worked at RBI as a Young Scholar in previous years are also not eligible for this exam apart from this, candidates’ age should be more than 18 years and below than 23 years.

Paper pattern: The question paper will have objective type multiple choice questions and the duration of the exam is 90 minutes. The questions will be based on following topics:
Role and functions of RBI
The trend of banking industry in India
General economic and financial environment of the country
