The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) had invited the applications for the post of “Assistant” in various offices of RBI across India. It is the national level recruitment exam so applications across India will be acceptable.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate.
• Knowledge of computers.
• Proficiency in the official language of the concerned state & union territory.

Age Limit:
• Minimum age is 20 years & maximum age is 28 years.
• The upper age limit relaxation will be provided to reserved categories candidates.

RBI Assistant 2016 Selection Procedure

• 1st Step: Preliminary Exam (Objective Type) (100 Marks)
• 2nd Step: Main Exam (Objective Type) (200 Marks)
• 3rd Step: Interview (35 Marks)

RBI Assistant Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Preliminary Exam:
• Preliminary exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
• Question paper has 3 sections namely (1) Reasoning Ability, (2) Numerical Ability and (3) English Language.
• There will be 100 questions for 100 marks.
• Exam duration will be 1 hour.
• There is negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer.
• Question paper will be set in both Hindi and English.

Main Exam:
• Main exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
• Question paper has 5 sections namely (1) Reasoning, (2) English Language, (3) Quantitative Ability, (4) General Awareness, (5) Computer Knowledge.
• There will be 200 questions for 200 marks.
• Exam duration will be 2 hours.
• There is negative marking of 1/4th marks for each wrong answer.
• Question paper will be set in both Hindi and English.

Interview:
Those who qualify in main examination will be called for interview round.
The total marks allotted for interview is 35 marks.
