Random Number given by Anna University

What is the role of Random Number for Anna University TNEA councelling section. Anna University Engineering Counselling is done on the basis of cut off marks, rank list and the Random Number so how this random number is going to decide my fate of joining the engineering college. Pls explain

The Anna University is giving Random Number to registered candidates. Ann University is conducting TNEA exam.

TNEA Random Number will be assigned to candidates once the registration process is over.

The random number is assigned before the rank list is published by the university online. This number is assigned to the applicants once the application scrutiny process is done successfully.

The random number will be called so because it is generated by a process which is so reliable whose outcome is so unpredictable that the number once produced will not be reproduced.

These numbers are assigned to all the candidates who have submitted their application forms before the last scheduled date and have completed the registration process successfully.

Random number is a unique randomly computed number assigned to every TNEA applicant to sort same cutoff holders in the ranking process.

Important dates:
Commencement of Online Registration 03 May 2018
Last Date of submission of application form 1st week of June 2018
TNEA 2018 Random Number allocation 3rd week of June 2018

Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in Mathematics in their 10+2

Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in Physics in their 10+2

Percentage of marks obtained by candidates in the Fourth optional subject in their 10+2

TNEA Random number assigned (higher value will be given preference)
