The Rajasthan Atomic Power Station (RAPS; additionally Rajasthan Atomic Power Project - RAPP) is situated at Rawatbhata in the condition of Rajasthan, India.

History

The development on Douglas Point reactor in Canada was started in 1961 and copy station at Rajasthan was submitted in 1963. The Rajasthan Power Project (RAPP) included two 220 MWe CANDU reactors worked in the condition of Rajasthan and put into administration, separately, in 1973 and 1981. Indian tradesmen and expert designers came to be prepared at Douglas Point. After the atomic bomb test blast in 1973 the atomic exchange joins amongst Canada and India were shortened and the second RAPP reactor was finished by the Indians with no Canadian help.

2006 meteorite

On 29 August 2006, a 90% iron shooting star weighing 6.8 kilograms fell in Kanvarpura town, close to the force station. The Deputy Director-General (western locale) of the Geological Survey of India, R.S. Goyal, said that annihilation on an "inconceivable scale" would have resulted had the article struck the station
