The Diploma in Rail Transport and Management is offered by the Institute of Rail Transport, a Govt.of India Organisation, New Delhi and recognised by all the Railway Boards. Here are the details of it:

Eligibility:
The applicant should have completed Diploma in Engineering or B.E./B.Tech from any recognized university of India.

Management Concepts
Personnel Management
Material Management
Accounting & Financial Management
Operating Management
Commercial Management
Civil Engineering
Electrical Engg
Mechanical Engg and
Signal & Telecommunications Engg.

Institute of Rail Transport (IRT) was founded in 1964, with its headquarters in New Delhi and it has branches at zonal Railway Headquarters-Delhi, Calcutta, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Gorakhpur, Secunderabad.

Diploma in Rail Transport and Management:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have Bachelor's Degree or a Diploma in any Engineering Discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

Duration of the course:
One year from May - June every year.

Course consists of the following eight modules:
Overview of the Transport Sector
Rail Operations Management
Marketing & Commercial Policy
Logistics & Supply Chain Management
Costing & Pricing of Rail Transport Services
Human Resource Management in Indian Railway
Legal &Technical Aspects of Railway Functioning
Planning, Financial Management & Investment Policies

Present fees for the course including the examination fee:
