Critically examine the changing relationship between the Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State policy.

Analyse the constitutional provisions under which the Executive is held accountable to the Parliament.

4. What are the powers and functions of the President oflndia? Has the role of the
President changed in the context of coalition politics to some extent ? Comment.

5. Examine the powers of the Supreme Court. Do you agree that in the light of
recent judicial pronouncements the Supreme court has enhanced its stature ?

6. Discuss the major areas of tension in Centre-State relations in India.
7. How far have anti-terror laws succeeded in achieving their objectives ? Discuss
their strengths and weaknesses.

8. Write short notes on any two of the following:-
(a) Article 356
(b) Challenges before the Panchayati Raj Institutions
(c) Right to Education
(d) Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA)
