To become an Income Tax Officer you have to undergo a selection process of written and oral exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission

Eligibility to be an Income Tax Officer

Educational Qualification
You should hold a Bachelor's degree of any stream from any of the recognized Institute

Age
-You must have attained the age of 18 years on 1st July of the year of examination
-You must not have attained 27 years of age on that date.
-The upper age limit will be relaxed by
3 years for --OBC candidates and
5 years for --SC/ST candidates.

Income Tax Officer Salary
Pay scale of income tax Officer is around Rs.6500-Rs.10,500. Different branches of the service have different scales of pay.

Education Qualification:

Candidates must completed 10th class or 12th, and Any Graduate from a recognized institution.

Age Limit:

Minimum 18 years to 25 years maximum as on 01.01.2015.

Pay Scale:

Income-tax Inspector: 9300-34,000/- + Grade Pay : 4600

Tax Assistant: 5200-20,200/- + Grade Pay : 2400

Multi-Tasking Staff: 5200-20,200/- + Grade Pay: 1800
