In order to become CA you have to give First CPT exam then you can enter in CA.

CPT stands for the common proficiency test.
CPT test is an foundation exam for charatered accountancy course.
CPT test is conducted by Institute of charatered accountant of india whereas ICWA is conducted by The institute of cost accountants of India.
Exam takes place twice in a year. mostly in June and December month.
Eligibility
Non-commerce graduates with 55% marks (without maths)
Commerce graduates with 50% marks
Non-commerce graduates with Maths with 60%

The course consists of three stages:-

(a) Competency Professional Test (CPT)
(b) Professional Competency Course (PCC)
(c) Final Course
This form costs 6600 Rs.
And the total course fees will be around 35000-40000.
Syllabus:
Accounting,
Mercantile Laws,
Corporate Laws,
Auditing,
Economics,
Management including Financial Management,
Costing,
Business Administration,
Management Accounting
Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc.,

As you want I am here telling you about the eligibility criteria for register to Intermediate (IPC) Course to become Chartered Accountant.

Eligibility criteria:

Candidate is eligible for enrolment to Intermediate (IPC) Course on passing the Common Proficiency Test and Senior Secondary Examination .

Candidate who has passed Foundation Examination shall be eligible for enrolment to Intermediate (IPC) Course.

Candidate who was already registered for Intermediate/ Professional Education (Course-II)/ or Professional Competence Course cum articleship shall be eligible for enrolment/ conversion to Intermediate (IPC) Course.

Registration for CPT:
Passing the CPT examination
Registration for IPCC
Orientation and ITT
Appearing and passing IPCC Group I Exam
Registration for Articleship
Appearing and passing IPCC Group II Exam
Registration for CA Final Course
Appearing and Passing CA Final Course
Complete Articleship
