As you want to do job in Embassies for it you have to pass IFS (Indian foreign services) exam.

The post will be given on the basis of the rank you obtained in exam

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate must have graduation degree in any stream from recognized university

Maximum Age limit
For general category: 30 years
For OBCs: 33 years
For Scs/STs: 35 years
Ex-servicemen will get five additional years

No. of attempts:
General category: four times
OBC: seven times
There is no limit for SCs/STs for the number of attempts.

The exam will contain two stages:
Preliminary Examination
This will contain the objective questions

Main Examination
It consists of written test & an interview

For doing job in Indian Embassy you have to pass an examination named as Indian Foreign Services
Eligibility Required for Indian Foreign Services

Age limit:
Candidates should be between 21 to 30 years of age
Age Relaxation: 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs

Academic Qualification:
Candidates are required to have degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute or university.

Number of Attempt:
General category applicant Indian Foreign Service Exam for four times, whereas OBC seven and there is no limit for Scs/STs for the number of attempts.

The exam will contain two stages:
Preliminary Examination
This will contain the objective questions
Main Examination
It consists of written test & an interview.

Based on the marks or rank you will get the post in Embassy
