Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission into M.TECH courses on the basis of GATE score . Educational Qualifications— Applicants must have hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology . Applicants must have hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics/ Statistics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Electronics. Applicants must have hold a Master’s degree in Science disciplines including Physics with Instrumentation/Geology/ Electronics/ Computer Application/ Physical Sciences/ Mathematical Sciences . Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore offers admission to its four-year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme in 2020. Students who will appear for the 12th standard board examination (or equivalent) in 2020 and those who have passed this examination in 2019 are eligible to apply for admission to this Programme. The 4 year Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme is organized into eight semesters. The final semester is devoted exclusively to a research project. The following major disciplines are available in the Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme: Biology Chemistry Earth & Environmental Science Materials Mathematics Physics Eligibility Criteria: A pass in +2 level exam with minimum 60% aggregate marks with Physics, Maths and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. SC/ST candidates just need to pass (no minimum marks). Those who have studied Biology/Electronics//Statistics/Computer Science in addition to above subjects are also eligible. One qualifying any of the Test (KVPY/JEE Main/JEE Advanced/NEET) requires to meet the specific eligibility for the admission. 1. KVPY Qualified Examination Year Fellowship Selection KVPY – SA 2016 Yes KVPY – SB 2017 Yes KVPY – SX 2017 Yes KVPY – SA and SX Fellow - Selected through empowerment initiative of SC & ST 2. JEE Main / Advanced Qualified Exam JEE Main Minimum Marks JEE Advanced Minimum Marks General 60% 60% OBC 54% 54% SC, ST, PwD 30% 30% Selection Process Candidates will be selected on the basis of marks they secured in various qualifying examinations. They will be called according to the merit prepared by the institute. There will be separate merit list for each of exams like KVPY, JEE Main and JEE Advanced. On being selected for the admission person needs to submit the required documents for the verification. |
