Soldiers Clerks recruitment in Indian Army is based on exam namely Indian Army Soldier Clerk Exam. The Indian Army Soldiers Clerk examination is held four times a year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:
Indian male citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.

Martial Status:
Unmarried

Age:
17½-23 Years

Educational Qualification:
10+2 / Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English. No weight age for higher qualification.

Indian Army Medical Standards:
A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes

He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Color vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colors

Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles

Physical Fitness Tests (PFT):
1. 1 Mile Run.
2. Pull Ups.
3. Balance.
4. 9 Feet Ditch.

Marking system is as follows:
(a) 1 Mile Run
5.40 Mins and below: 60 Marks
5.41 Mins to 5.50: 48 Mks
5.51 Mins to 6 00: 36 Mks
6.01 Mins to 6.10: 24 Mks

(b) Pull Ups:
10 and above: 40 Mks
9: 32 Mks
8: 28 Mks
7: 21 Mks
6: 16 Mks

(c) Balance & 9 Feet Ditch.

Qualifications
Candidate should be pass 10+2/Intermediate exam n any stream (Arts/ Commerce/ Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and at least 40% in each subject. There is no criteria of marks if you have a higher qualification.

17.5 - 23 years

Written Exam Pattern
Paper-I : It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability, General knowledge and current affairs.
Duration of papers is 60 minutes.
Total marks 100
Pass Marks 32

Those candidates competing for the position of Soldier clerk/ store keeper technical have to also write a specific Paper II:

Paper-II : It generally comprises of Mathematics, Computer Science & English (Language Proficiency).

Duration - 30 minutes.
Total marks - 50 marks
Pass Marks-26 marks.
