For admission to the Engineering Courses, 85% seats shall be there for the candidates from within the State and 15% will be open to candidates from outside the State.
Candidates should have appeared in the AIEEE-2012 conducted by CBSE, New Delhi to acquire seats under 85% quota for residents of Punjab. For 85% quota and 15% quota, admission will be made on the basis of AIEEE-2011 rank.

As per me Punjab Technical University not located in Chandigarh , its in Jalandhar It was established by an act of State Legislature on 16 January 1997, to promote technical, management and pharmaceutical education in the state of Punjab.
