Pune University directs Pune University Ph.D. Entrance Test for Registration to Ph.D. courses. Exam Pattern: For Entrance Examination there would be two papers Paper I and Paper 2. Paper 1 would be General Aptitude Test of 100 marks Paper 2 would be Subjectwise/Facultywise of 100 marks. Paper I: General Aptitude Test which will have 100 questions with multiple choice covering subjects of Logical Reasoning, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Language Aptitude. Paper 2: Subject Specific Test: This paper will be also of 100 marks. Paper- 2 examination will be conducted by respective University Departments/Research Centres only. i) 20 marks will be covered for objective-multiple choices with 20 questions covering relevant subject in the faculty. ii) 80 marks will be covered by theoretical descriptive questions. iii) The respective faculty of the department faculty/Research Centre will decide the nature of theoretical questions and weightages to be given out of 80 marks on various components of theory questions such as descriptive questions, case study, comprehension, essays etc. Important Dates: Date of Online Application Form20th November, 2013 Last date of Online Application Form20th December, 2013 Last date of submission of hard copies (Application form & supporting documents) 6th January 2014 Issue of Hall Ticket8th January 2014 Online Examination Date16th January 2014 |

Pune University conducts Pune University Ph.D. Entrance Test for Registration to Ph.D. courses. The Ph.D. Entrance Test was conducted on 15th February 2015. Pune University Ph.D. Entrance Test eligibility- Post Graduate Degree Examination with at least 50% marks or Post Graduate Degree (Master Degree) Examination in the Faculty of Law with at least 55% marks. 5 % relaxation for students of the State of Maharashtra belonging to SC/ST/DT/NT/SBC/OBC categories Persons working in National Laboratories/Institutes/ Government/Private Organization nominated/sponsored by the respective employer. These persons should have a Post Graduate Degree and holding a rank of Assistant Director Persons with exceptional abilities having passed graduate degree examination with 50% of marks and with 15 years experience after graduation in the related field. Paper Pattern Paper-I consists of 3 Parts a) Logical Reasoning. b) Numerical Ability. c) Reasoning and Language Aptitude. Total Marks: 100 Total Questions: 100 All questions with multiple choices, each correct answer carries 1 Mark. No negative marking system. Duration & Timing of Entrance Exam: 2 Hours (11.00 AM to 1.00 PM). Standard of passing for Paper-I: Category - Minimum marks required a)General:- 50% marks b) Reserved: 45% marks Candidates qualified in Paper–I are eligible to appear for Paper -II only.
