Re: Promotion Of SSC Stenographer
Stenography is the process of converting language into a written shorthand. A person who specializes in taking dictation in shorthand called Stenographer. Job duties of stenographers:- In Stenographers duties can include orders, memos, correspondence, reports and various other types of information. When they get such information, stenographers use shorthand. A lot of the time, stenographers can be found working in a court, where they will transcribe various types of information. Many stenographrs salso take on the basic duties of a secretary, which may include answering phones, directing visitors to where they need to go and managing appointments. About the promotions : Keeping in view the promotional prospects, Stenographers entering have an outstanding career under the Central Secretariat Stenographers Service (CSSS). Morever, SSC's Assistant Grades have the same good opportunity as PA with the ban of SO entry through the Civil Service exam. in CSS. For example, now direct recruits Grade C Stenographers (PAs) or Assistant Grades in Central Secretariats at an early age have better and brighter future in career prospects since they can also give UPSC's Private Secretary/Section Officer Examinations conducted annually by the UPSC. This exam. is esp. meant for PAs and Assistants and henceforth they have better chance of getting into top positions than some Group A posts conducted by UPSC/SCC's like Assistant Commandants/CDS, OTA, SO (Audits) and the Bank POs. |
