Indian Air force (IAF) is very good career option. It offers two ways of commissioning to join, which includes Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission. There are various ways to join IAF. Here I am providing you details for joining Indian Air force. You must have graduation degree to join Indian Air force. There are three following branches in Indian Air force: • Flying Branch • Technical Branch • Ground duty Branch Ways to join IAF Air Force Common Aptitude Test (AFCAT) Entry: Eligibility Criteria: Unmarried Male/ Female who are and citizen of India are eligible for this AFCAT Entry. Age limits: 19 years to 23 years for flying branch 18 to 28 years for Technical branch 20 to 23 years for Ground duties branch Educational Qualification: Flying Branch: Graduation (10 + 2 + 3) in any stream with physics and Mathematics subjects in 10 +2 or BE/ B.Tech Technical Branch: Four year Degree qualification, passed Section A and B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers or Graduated in Aeronautical/ Tele communication/ Electronics. Ground Duty Branch: Graduation in any stream from a recognized University/ Institute Combined Defense Services Examination (CDSE) Entry: Eligibility Criteria: Candidates should be citizen of India Age limits: 19 years and 23 years Educational Qualification: 3 years Graduation in any discipline from recognized Institute University Entry Scheme (UES) Entry: Male candidates appearing in pre- final year of Engineering Degree can apply for this Eligibility criteria: Candidates should be unmarried and citizen of India. Age limits: 18 and 28 years Educational Qualification: BE/ B Tech degree with aggregate 60% marks National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry: Candidates holding Air Wing Senior Division C certificate of the National Cadet Corps can apply for flying branch officers in Indian Air Force. Eligibility criteria: same as eligibility criteria in CDSE Entry |
