I have completed bachelor of engineering in mechanical and I want to become an officer in central excise so please tell me its procedure?

As you want to become an officer in central excise department for it you have to appear in combined graduate level exam. It is conducted by staff selection commission. Eligibility: Educational Qualification Candidate must have a Bachelor degree in any stream from recognized University Age limit: Minimum age: 18 years Maximum age: 27 years The upper age limit will be relaxed by 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Exam Pattern: Preliminary Examination Main Exam Preliminary Exam It consists of two papers. The papers are on: General Intelligence and General Awareness (Part A) Arithmetic No. of questions: 100 Total marks: 100 Duration: 2 Hrs Main Exam: General Studies 200 Marks 3Hr. English 100 Marks 2Hrs. 20 Min. Arithmetic 200 Marks 4Hrs. Language 100Marks 2 Hr 20 Min Communication Skill and writing 200 Marks 2 Hrs. 20 Min Personality Test Excise Inspector gets the pay scale of Rs.6,500-Rs.10,500.
