The Royal Drawing School operates studios in Shoreditch, Oxford Street, South Kensington and Trinity Buoy Wharf. It runs over 250 different full and part-time drawing courses each year for adults and children of all ages and abilities. Courses offered- PG courses- Courses at the Royal Drawing School are divided into three main areas: Drawing in the studio Drawing from art Drawing London The Drawing Year is full time and made up of three ten week terms (starting in September) Minimum of two full days a week attendance at classes Wednesday evening forum and lecture series Classes are supported ongoing studio practice The Foundation Year- The Foundation Year is a one year skills-based course with five days’ teaching a week It is free to 18 and 19 year olds with some bursaries available for over-19s. Part 1 During Part 1 the weekly structure includes: One day of observational drawing One day of gallery drawing Two days for set project work One day of independent study Parts 2 and 3 Students are expected to engage with timetabled lectures, studio critiques and debates throughout the programme.
