The West Bengal Joint Entrance examinations board (WBJEEB) conducts Presidency University Admission Test for admission to three year B.A./B.Sc.(Honours) Course of Presidency University Kolkata.

PUBDET Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 system) conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or an equivalent examination

The candidates should have passed any of the aforementioned examinations, with at least five recognized subjects (full marks not less than 100), including English language.

For Candidates with International A level or International Baccalaureate qualifications, at least three subjects at the IGCSE level and three subjects at the A level are required, with English in either of the two levels.

PUBDET 2018 Important dates:-

Apply online at website:- 06/02/2018 to 28/02/2018

Last date of downloading confirmation page - 03/03/2018

Publication of Downloadable Admit Card - 02/05/2018 (tentative)

PUBDET 2018 Date - 12/05/2018 (Saturday) and 13/05/2018 (Sunday)

Publication of Results - 1st week of June, 2018 (tentative)

Paper Pattern

Each candidate may apply for a maximum of three Honours subjects. The admission procedure for all subjects, except Hindi (Honours).

In Group A, applicants for admission to Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Honours courses will have to sit for the Common test (PCM) as well as tests for the respective subjects.

Applicants for Geology will sit only for the Common test (PCM), while applicants for Geography and Statistics will need to sit only for a subject test.

Applicants for the English Honours course will sit for the English-*I online test in the slot S2-*S4, and an additional written test later (English-*2, T 2)

The Common test (with questions in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics) will have to be taken by candidates for admission to Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology and Mathematics Honours courses.

The Economics test will have questions in Mathematics and English, and the Statistics test in Mathematics, with elementary level.
