Here are details about Osmania University Pre-PhD course:

Candidates who are admitted to Ph.D. course shall appear for and pass the Pre- Ph.D. test.

The Pre- Ph.D. test shall be conducted for the admitted candidates after six months and before the completion of one year, from the date of admission.

Syllabus and the mode of Examination
The Pre- Ph.D. test consists of 2 papers, each of three hours duration and 100 marks.

Paper-I Research Methodology
Paper-II Broad Field of Research
Paper-I will be common to all candidates in the department whereas paper-II will be on broad area of research specialization.
