Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants should possess 10+2 standard or 12th class pass from a recognized university or Board of School Education
Candidates should have studied local language of the State or Union Territory of the concerned Postal Circle or in Hindi as a subject at least in Matriculation level or equivalent.
Applicants age limit should be between 18-27 years as on 27-03-2014 for General Category

Selection Process:
Applicants would be selected based on their performance in written examination and computer/ typing test.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age:
Minimum age is 18 years.
Maximum age is 25 years.

Qualification:
Candidates must have 10+2 or 12th class from the recognized board in India.

The English subject is required in the 10th and 12th class.

Postal Assistants Salary
Currently, according to the government pay scale, the pay scale/ salary of the postal assistants is Rs. 5200/- to 20,200/- plus grade pay of Rs.2400/-

Syllabus for Exam
Aptitude Test: The syllabus for aptitude test contains the subjects like English, Mathematics, Reasoning, General Knowledge and analytical ability. The paper will contain the total of 100 questions with 1 marks of each question. The duration of the exam will be two hours. The total marks for all the subject will be 100. The classification of marks subject wise is given below. 1) 25 Questions on General Knowledge – 25 marks, 2) 25 Questions on Mathematics – 25 Marks, 3) 25 Questions on English – 25 marks, 4) 25 Questions on Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 25 Marks

Typing test: The duration of the typing test is 30 minutes containing 450 words of English paragraph and 375 words in Hindi with a minimum speed of 30/25 words.
