The Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi has a facility to offering engineering courses in polymer science. The Department of Materials Science and Engineering was established on 1st January 2018 for developing and undertaking research on materials for specific end uses.

The Department is starting one post-graduate program (M. Tech. in Polymer Science and Technology) in July 2018 and is also in the process to start a second post-graduate program (M. Tech. in Materials Engineering).

It runs postgraduate programme, M.Tech & Ph.D in Polymer science and engineering. This is an interdisciplinary program with students from B.Tech/B.E in Chemical Engineering and MSc. Chemistry.
