PMET is a program designed to assist faculty who currently train, or are interested in training, both pre- and in-service teachers. The philosophy of the program is guided by the recent CBMS report, The Mathematical Education of Teachers (MET).

With the Singapore Workforce Development Agency the Singapore National Employers Federation is appointed as the Programme Manager to administer the Place-and-Train (PnT) Programme for SMEs and PMETs under P-Max.

PMET workshop schedule:

1-DAY SME WORKSHOP
Workshop Dates in 2016: 9 Sept, 29 Sept and 5 Oct
Duration: 1 day, 9 am to 6 pm
Course Venue: SNEF Corporate Learning Centre (Tanglin Shopping Centre)
Payable Fee per SME Participant: S$53.50 (inclusive of 7% GST)

2-DAY PMET WORKSHOP
Workshop Dates in 2016: 13- 14 Sept , 15-16 Sept and 21st – 22 Sept
Duration: 2 days, 9 am to 5 pm
Course Venue: SNEF Corporate Learning Centre (Tanglin Shopping Centre)
Payable Fee per PMET participant: S$160.50 (inclusive of 7% GST)

Summer Workshop activities include:
Connecting college mathematics content to school mathematics;
Demonstration College classes by master teachers;
Discussions of school standards, both state and national;
Course development projects by participants;
Guest lectures by experts, including learning theory researchers;
Discussions of curricular materials and educational reports; and
Use of technology
