To provide career planning and job seeking assistance for the students of Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT ) there is a full-fledged training & placement cell.

The Placement department is assisted by student coordinators with a team of training & placement representatives from various courses offered for study. The cell provides best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companies officials.

The department provides the students a platform for interaction with the corporate world. All these aims are achieved through lectures, workshops, seminars, information about career opportunities, aptitude tests, communication enhancement lectures, group discussions, interviews, pre-placement talks, debates, preparing professional curriculum vitae etc.

T& P Section takes care of the following key activities for the students:
