The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay was established in the year 1958. It is located at Powai, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India .

Placement Policy--

The Placement Office sends invitations to companies along with relevant information.

Logins are created for companies to access their online account.

Company fills in a JAF containing details (place of posting, pay package, allowances and other bonuses) using their online account.

Online JAFs cannot be edited after a particular date, decided by the Placement Office.

If the company wishes to organize a Pre-Placement Talk they can sent a request along with the preferred dates.

Placement Office allots dates to companies for campus interviews .

The company confirms the dates with the Placement Office.

Companies can view resumes of students and shortlist students using their online account.

The company is required to furnish final list of candidates preferably on the date of interview.

Companies are allotted dates based on the ranking of the job offer.

The job offer is ranked based on the following parameters:

Growth Prospects in the job.

Compensation Package.

Past record of recruitment at IIT Bombay.
