Panjab University is a public collegiate university located in Chandigarh, India. It originated in 1882, but was established in 1947, making it one of the oldest universities in India.

Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate who has passed the Masters Exam in the concerned subject with a score of not less than 55% (50% for SC/ST/BC/PwD Category) marks in aggregate, or have appeared in the final year exam of Master's degree in the subject concerned from Panjab University, Chandigarh or from any other University (approved by the appropriate Academic Bodies of P.U.), shall also be eligible to appear for the M.Phil & PhD Entrance Test

Examination Pattern

The Test shall consist of Two Papers in each subject as detailed below:
Paper-I (Objective Type /Multiple Choice Questions)
Duration: One hour, Minimum Marks: 50, Number of Questions: 50 and Questions to be attempted: 50 or each question will carry one mark; there will be no negative marking
Paper-II (Subjective/Descriptive Type)
Duration: Two hour, Minimum Marks: 50, Number of Questions: 05 and Questions to be attempted: 05 or Each question will carry 10 marks
