The questions shall come from topics such as: • Abstract Algebra • Complex Analysis • Elements of Numerical Analysis • Linear Algebra • Ordinary Differential Equations • Partial Differential Equations • Real Analysis The total marks carried by this paper are 100. Aspirants will have to conclude writing the exam within a period of 3 hours. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Masters degree In some subjects, doing a Masters in Philosophy (M.Phil.) is a prerequisite to start Ph.D. For some prestigious Universities a candidate is required to qualify the all India level examination such as ‘National Eligibility Test’ (NET) for Lectureship conducted by University Grants Commission. |
