Application Fee
For all courses Rs.250/- (Rs. 125/- for SC/ ST, exempted for differently abled candidates - supported with relevant certificates).

Rs. 1,000/- for NRI
and Overseas candidates.

Use separate applications for each programme.

Mode Of Exam
Online based Entrance test at designated centers.

Payment of Application fee can be made either through online or offline mode .

Selection Process

For Ph.D., Courses, admission is based on Entrance Test and Interview.

Pondicherry University is a central university in Puducherry, India. Founded in 1985

Applicant who have studied under 10+2+3 pattern of education (or 10+2+5) and qualified for the Master’s Degree in the subject concerned

You should have scored of at least 55%

Teacher candidates working in College/University departments and such other institutions recognized by Pondicherry University with at least one year of continuous teaching experience

Non-teaching staff employed in a time scale of pay in this University and other affiliated research institutions provided that the candidate has at least 10 years of work experience


Admission Process

Admission for Ph. D. Programmes shall be advertised in leading newspapers and also in the University’s website once each year.

Applicants seeking admission have to fill in the prescribed admission form and submit the same within the prescribed date specified in admission announcement.
