I have completed my PG degree and want to join the Mumbai University for doing the Phd. Can you tell me the admission procedure to take admission in the Mumbai University for the Phd? Also provide me the syllabus of the Phd Entrance Exam for Mumbai University?

Eligibility:-
A Master degree in relevant discipline from an acknowledged university with minimum 55 percent marks in total. (50 percent marks in case of reserved category candidates).

Exemption from PhD entrance Test:-
Aspirants who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRF exam and are holders of teachers fellowships of apex bodies like CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT etc are exempted from this test.

Mumbai University PhD PET Syllabus
The syllabus for Mumbai PhD PET exam shall comprise of various topics in compulsory/core subject and papers of post graduate degree level of the exam prescribed by Mumbai University for the subject.

Mumbai University PhD PET Paper Pattern:-

The question papers will include three types of questions

- Objective type of Questions: 40 marks
- Short answers: 30 marks
- Long answers: 30 marks

Aspirants securing a minimum of 50 marks in PET will be eligible to apply for admission. The result of this exam is valid for a period of 3 years.
