The date regarding CUSAT exam for admissions in PhD program in various IIT have been announced and I am appearing for that examination. So can you provide me with some success tip that how to perform well in this examination. Enlist syllabus and question paper.

The Cochin University of Science and Technology CUSAT invites application form for admission in PhD programs.

PhD Admission


Ph.D Eligibility -


Candidates must have Masters Degree from a recognized University with 55% marks in the qualifying examination, or a CGPA of 6.0 in the 10 point scale or an equivalent grade in similar scales.

A candidate belonging to SC/ST community is eligible for concession upto 10% marks for admission provided that he/she has a pass in the qualifying examination.

Candidates shall have passed the Departmental Admission Test

Admission-


1) The Departmental Admission Test (DAT) shall have two parts.

a) Written test
(b) Interview

2) Candidates who have scored at least 50% marks in the written examination alone will be eligible to be ranked for admission

For Ph.D Programmes Candidates belonging to SC/ST communities are entitled to a concession of 5% marks in the written examination of the DAT.

3) The weightage for written test and interview for ranking will be as follows.

Marks obtained in the Masters Degree Level 50%
Marks obtained in the written test 30%
Marks obtained in the interview 20%
Total 100

Candidates for PhD/ M Phil/ MA Translation-German & Russian / Diploma/ Certificate programmes can obtain the printed application form from the concerned Departments by paying the required application fee through Demand Draft issued by State Bank of India or State Bank of Travancore only, drawn in favour of Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam
