Bharathiar University is a state university in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, South India.

The University offers Part–time Ph.D. (CATEGORY-B) programme to provide global opportunity to enter the research arena.

Qualification

Part time Ph.D. (Category-B) programme

You should have obtained a Master’s Degree in the discipline in which he / she wants to register for Ph.D. programme

You should have a minimum of 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying examinations under (10+2+3+2) system.

The candidate who has acquired less than 55% (50% in the case of SC / ST candidates) has to give an undertaking that he / she is not eligible for teaching positions with endorsement of the Notary.

Admission Process

Admissions shall be made through a Common Eligibility Test followed by an interview.

The PG qualifying examinations marks converted to : 50 Marks

Common Eligibility Test : 35 Marks

Interview : 15 Marks

Total : 100 marks
